I grew up in Monterey, CA, and lived there all my life up until the summer of 2021. I have always been into fishing, riding bikes, snowboarding, and skiing, so Bozeman was the perfect place for me to move. I am a bicycle mechanic by trade and have been in the industry for a little over 5 years now. I started off racing cross-country mountain bikes my sophomore year of high school and later got an internship at our local bike shop. Since starting to work in a bike shop I have attended UBI (United Bicycle Institute) for their Fox fork clinic, and Titanium tig welding frame building course, and a mechanics course at the Trek headquarters in Wisconsin. Working as a shop tech is what I love doing, and I hope to keep it up for years to come.

Tristan’s Favorite Trail in Bozeman:
Mt. Blackmore.
Around 12.5 miles out and back and 4,000 feet of elevation gain and loss makes it a super fun and tiring ride. A long and steep climb brings you to the peak of Mt. Blackmore, with a beautiful view of the Hyalite valley and the Hyalite reservoir. Be sure to bring lots of water and snacks, as it usually takes a couple of hours to get to the top.
